Q: Why some cars are able to rent at very low price?
A: These cars may be potentially rented out illegally.
Q: Is Ace Drive a legal car rental company and how can I identify?
A: Yes, Ace Drive is definitely a legal car rental company. All our fleet are converted into legal rental car by LTA (Land Transport Authority) with full comprehensive insurance coverage. You can easily identify the different by just looking at the road tax disc. A legal rental vehicle will bear a print “MOTORCAR”, where a private passenger car will show “PASSENGER(PRIVATE)”.
Q: What is the risk of not renting a legal rental vehicle?
A: In an event of an accident, whether you are in the right or wrong, you will face complications.
1. The actual owner of the vehicle may not know that his car is used for rental.
2. If his insurance company finds out that a normal passenger vehicle is being used as a rental car, the insurance company will have the right not to underwrite any risk and terminate the insurance immediately, and/ or help to make any claim on his behalf.
Q: Is there any age limit for renting a vehicle?
A: All hirers must be 26 to 65 years old with 3 years of clean driving experience. However, persons aged below 26 years old can still be considered on a case by case basis.
Q: Are there any special requirements with regards to the driver’s license?
A: Hirers must hold a qualified, valid Singapore or international driving license. An international driver’s license must be presented with a valid passport and/ or Employment Pass / FIN card. Q: How are rental charges calculated?
A: The rates are based on a 24-hour rental day starting with the hour you pick up the vehicle. There will be late payment penalty charges after the 24 hours rental. Every late / excess hour is chargeable at 20% of rental rates. Any extension will be charge at 10% of the rental rates, subject to availability. If you need more than 24 hours, please consult our sales representative and they will advise you accordingly subject to availability.
Q: Is there a minimum rental duration?
A: Yes, minimum rental of 3 days.
Q: What do I need to bring with me?
A: All hirers must present a valid driving license, identification card and/or passport.
Q: What are the payment modes available?
A: Hirers can settle payments with credit cards, NETS, paypal and / or cash.
Q: Are your hiring charges subjected to GST?
A: Please note all charges stated are before GST. Yes, all hiring charges will be subjected to the prevailing GST rate.
Q: How do I make a reservation?
A: To make a reservation, please submit your insurance particulars here. Full payments must be made to book your desire date. Should the insurance company reject your case, we will make a full refund without penalty.
Q: Do you require a security deposit?
A:Yes, we can accept cash, credit cards & cheque but credit cards are preferred. To know the deposit amount required, please click here and fill in your details you will immediately receive an email.
Q: Do I need to return the car with a full tank?
A: Yes. Our vehicles come provided with a full gas tank. The return of any rented vehicles requiring top-ups will incur a penalty cost of $5.00 per litre. All vehicles must be refuelled with Premium grade Unleaded (95 RON) gasoline. All vehicles must use only Ron 98 fuel, we will check.
Q: Are additional second-name drivers permitted?
A: One additional driver is permitted provided that a valid driver’s license is presented upon confirmation of booking. The same rental terms and conditions (T&Cs) applicable to the primary car hirer will also apply to the additional driver. A maximum of two (2) drivers is permitted per car.
Q: Do you deliver or collect cars?
A: Yes, your rented car can be delivered to anywhere within Singapore provided the reservation and credit cards authorization are processed in advance. For every delivery or pick-up, a $50 one-way charge applies. $70 per trip will be charge for request less than 3 days in advance from rental date.
Q: Are rental cars allowed out of Singapore?
A: No, rental cars are not allowed to be driven in Malaysia, unless it is for long term corporate rental. Only long term corporate customers are allowed to drive our rental cars to Malaysia. Other than long term rental, all rented cars are for Singapore use ONLY. In any case that the hirer drives the car to Malaysia, he/she will be charged double the rental rate or more as a penalty. Moreover, any other cost including towing charges will be made payable by the hirer.
Q: Do you have GPS/Navigation System?
A:Yes, Ace Drive provides GPS/Navigation System on request at a surcharge of $15 per day.
Q: Is smoking permitted in the vehicles?
A: No, we strictly do not allow smoking in our vehicles. A penalty fee of $250 will be charged for vehicle detailing.
Q: Are there any liabilities by the hirer?
A: Hirers are held fully liable for any traffic or parking violations or breaking of any law governed by the authorities of Singapore.

A: Every car comes with a different mileage cap, please check with our sales representative. A $5/ km charge will be incurred by the hirer for every additional km.

Any towing charges will be made payable by the hirer. Moreover, in any case that the hirer drives the car to Malaysia, he/she will be charged double or more as a penalty.
Q: What’s the fastest one can go with our Sports, Luxury & Exotic Car?
A: Ace Drive advises all customers to obey all traffic laws and regulation required by the laws of Singapore. Our Sports, Luxury & Exotic has been preset with a 135km/h speed limit. Ace Drive will not be made liable for any speeding offence(s) by the hirer. The hirer is solely responsible for any violation of Singapore laws during the rental period.
